    • Oh Josephine 🙂

So glad you liked the poem. It’s VERY fresh, but I wanted to post something to start the year — so I did — even though I could still end up fiddling with the formatting etc.

      Thanks ,

      Elly x

      • You are very brave to do this! There is a sense of energy and freshness here so don’t lose that when/if you re-draft (easier said than done, I know). I think you’ve achieved that energy by not having any preamble, by going straight in. Great way to start the year! x

  1. You certainly capture the energy and capriciousness of squirrels and the way they chatter almost with their tails. I didn’t know what I was going to find when I saw squirrels (but I do so love watching ours) – and then here was this gem. Glad I looked in – I too love the soprano notes, and the ‘chatter me Gone – reminds me of ‘now you see me, now you don’t’. Really glad to have caught this one – wish I had the energy to write anything today x
