October 4th is National Poetry Day in the U.K. and stars are the theme.

I’ve written a poem to help celebrate, and dedicate it to Issy and her critters.

PEGASUS

I poo-picked the paddocks,
tidied your bed,
threw out pillows
of spent Cumulus humilis
that had mildewed,
behind the t.v. —
at midnight, I gathered fresh bags
of goose wing feathers —
white ones (for spares)

…carefully polished
++++++all the stars in your mane
