Talking about Jane Austen in Baghdad: The True Story of an Unlikely Friendship by May Witwit
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I got this book as a gift. And had never heard anything about it previously. I commend the two authors for what they’ve accomplished both with the book and with their friendship. It’s an important book. May Witwit’s accounts of life in Iraq are riveting. The book is the actual exchange of emails back and forth between the two women. This structure works well – and gives us a “real time” feeling of suspense. Both women are good writers.
